How I Automated My Kids’ Lunch Updates on Dakboard Using a Raspberry Pi
As a parent, keeping track of school schedules, after-school activities, and—most importantly—**lunch menus** is a challenge. Every month, I receive a PDF that details my kids' lunches, and I wanted a way to integrate that into my Dakboard dashboard, which is displayed on our family’s Raspberry Pi.

The Future of NPUs at the Edge
I believe Neural Processing Units (NPUs) are going to have a massive impact on the future of edge computing, and honestly, on technology as a whole. As edge computing grows in importance, NPUs will become a standard feature in many devices, eventually being included directly in processors or system-on-chip (SoC) designs. While NPUs may not take over the training of AI models—that will still largely remain the job of powerful data centers—they’ll be critical in providing fast inferences, helping machines make real-time decisions at unprecedented speeds.

Pushing Innovation with Less: The Power of Edge Devices
Edge devices challenge us to innovate by doing more with less. In this post, I explore how edge computing drives creative solutions in resource-constrained environments, from overcoming connectivity issues to leveraging advanced hardware like NPUs. Discover why edge devices are revolutionizing industries and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
